Founded in 1999, the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) is a not-for-profit, AIA recognized organization, established to improve the quality of medical care facilities by assisting healthcare clients in the confident selection of consistently qualified and experienced ACHA Board Certified professionals. The US Green Building Council works to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible and healthy places to work. One principal in the firm is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional and actively pursues opportunities to incorporate materials and systems that provide a healthier environment for healthcare services. The Construction Specifications Institute's mission is to continuously improve the process of creating and sustaining the built environment. One member of the firm is CSI Certified Construction Specifiers (CCS) and is actively involved in maintaining our office standards relative to construction detailing, specification writing and new product investigation. Lowell Riegel, our Construction Administrator, keeps current with construction related issues such as Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) and has received a Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC) as a part of the ASHE [American Society for Healthcare Engineering (of the American Hospital Association)] program.
